Hardware Intern (Autonomous Vehicle Retrofit)

Main goal Retrofit a low‑speed campus EV’s pedals and steering column with commercial linear actuators and a worm‑gear DC motor; produce CAD brackets and wiring harnesses. Companion project This hardware role runs  alongside a Control‑Software internship  (see “Autonomous Vehicle Retrofit – Software” on Riipen). If you’d like to pair up with a software‑focused learner, please note it in your cover letter. Key tasks Select actuators and motor. Compare COTS vs. custom hardware ROI. Coordinate sensor pin‑outs with software intern. Fit brackets to vehicle chassis and test.
